Variable beam expanders are ideal for systems in which different magnifications and precise control of laser beam divergence are required.

Altechna offers Galilean type variable beam expanders with high LIDT AR coatings that minimize ghost reflections. Our variable beam expanders allow you to separately adjust magnification and divergence, with two set screws to lock the magnification and divergence positions once the desired beam size is reached. The design is compact and suitable for an industrial environment.

Our standard beam expanders are designed for high power Nd:YAG lasers, but custom wavelengths are available on request.
