New
Capabilities:


 




Low cost DOEs fabrication in plastics

 


Low to medium power
applications do not necessarily require a glassy material for the
DOE. HoloOr offers low cost, mass production of diffractive elements
using an injection molding technology. The main plastic types are:
Polycarbonate PMMA, Zeonex and Zoner.


 





New product line - M
Shaped TH




Recent studies in laser welding and cutting
applications have shown the improvement in heat distribution during
weld/cutting process obtained by M-shaped intensity profile. In
addition, the M-shaped intensity profile ensures a well defined
 edge of weld seams/cutting, even with low output power. Please

Optical calculator – new feature for grating
design:




A new feature in HoloOr’s interactive optical
calculator, shows parameters  of linear gratings. It can help
the customer to evaluate the period, separation angle , distance
between spots for certain operating wavelengths and working distances
and power percentage of each order according to modulation depth
 . In addition, the user  can check easily if a standard
grating exists, or the closest grating that can be used. To use the

New
Cooperations:


 


HoloOr is currently
collaborating in two new and challenging European project dealing
with innovative laser equipment, paving the way for new manufacturing
applications. The first one is LASHARE which is coordinated by
Fraunhofer Institute. The aim of the project is to share laser
expertise for parallel multi-beam ablation. The other one is
TAILORWELD coordinated by EWF, and is meant for tailored energy
distribution for laser welding applications.





New Products:



As part of our effort to lead the DOE market for high
power applications, HoloOr’s R&D team is constantly dedicating
 a lot of resources in the development and manufacturing of new
products. We would like to share with you some of our new designs.





Multi focal –  New designs:



we have widened our existing standard products list
under the MF element category.  There is a new element for 5
foci designed for a wavelength of 1550nm, MF 001-G-Y-A. Another
example is the 7 foci element for 1064nm operation wavelength,
MF-002-I-Y-A. In addition a few other designs with 2 and 3 foci, can
be found on our product list at HoloOr’s website.





Small (1.5XDiffraction Limit) Beam shaper –
New designs:




The low cost binary design for scanning application was
converted to new wavelengths. We now offer the two (round and square)
initial  designs for an operating wavelength of 355nm
(ST-219/220-U-Y-A) and 9.4um (ST-220-1-Y-A). In addition, there are
two new 1.5 X Diffraction Limit round beam shaper
designs available, ST-221/222. These two are characterized by
smaller diffusion angle (0.43/0.39 mRad@ 1030nm).Moreover, two new
~1.65 X Diffraction Limit beam shapers (Line shape) are available:
TH-239 and TH-249.





Multi spots beam splitter – New designs:



New 11X11 MS DOE has been released MS-402-Q-Y-X. It has
0.16° separation angle (between neighbouring spots) and it is
designed for 532nm operating wavelength. High uniformity 7 spots
Hexagonal element, MS-231-U-Y-A. The six spots laying in equal
distances from each other and from the zero order. The separation
angle is 0.043° at 355nm.
 





Homogenizer / Diffuser – High
homogeneity series:




One of Holo-Or’s customer’s “Optisiv” agreed to share
measurements of the output  from  a regular (square) and a
high homogeneity element (round). The input beam (left picture,
1064nm) was far from being a Gaussian. The output beam presents a
well defined shape with fine homogeneity.





Vortex Lens:



One of HoloOr’s “best seller” product, a vortex lens
with m=1 (1” DIA), is also offered at a different wavelength of
450nm. In addition, a new design for m=4 vortex lens is available now
for 800nm.
